Summary: Tom Paris learns the importance of correct speech.
Disclaimer: I didn't invent Tom, B'Elanna or the Emergency Medical Hologram (ugh, what if I had?)and I have fully accepted that Paramount/Viacom has the copyright on them. I am therefore not trying to make any money writing about them and hope only for nice feedback once in a while.
Archive: Sure. Just let me know where.
"What happened to you, Tom?" queried the Holodoc, examining the huge purple bruise on the helmsman's midriff. "Did you get in a bar fight?"
"I said something to B'Elanna in Klingon," was the reply, somewhat strangled by Paris' gastric pain.
"Dear me, she must not have liked what you said." The tissue regenerator was doing its work, slowly. "Did you get the words wrong? It can be a difficult language to master."
"No, not the words. The pronunciation was slightly off."
"And she hit you? For getting the pronunciation wrong?"
"No," groaned the patient. "She gave me the Heimlich maneuver."
